Start the ring here.Finish it on the desk.
Pick the setting and the shape you have in your head, tell us the number you’re working with, and send it up. We’ll have the trays out before you get here — or on camera if you’re not in Houston.
Some people already know the ring. Some want to talk it through with someone who does this all day. Both work.
Put it in writing
Three steps: setting, shape, the number you’re working with. It comes to us as a note, not an order, and one of us reads it.
Start a ringCome up and look
Two trays and a book, on the desk, in front of you. Either way — call before you come. We’re a working office and we’re in and out.
Book a timeThree steps, plain language, no prices and no cart. What you send lands on the desk so the right stones are out before you arrive.
Nothing here is a computer drawing, and nothing here is an order. You’re telling us what you have in your head so we can put the actual pieces on the desk. One of us reads every one of these.
Answer three things and we’ll point you at a starting place. Nothing is sent and nothing is saved — it just fills in the first two steps for you.
You don’t need a gemology degree. Here’s the whole thing, the way we’d explain it to a friend.
Beyond diamonds
Garnet, citrine, tourmaline, sapphire. A colored stone reads as a decision rather than a default, and it is usually the more personal ring in the room. Ask and we’ll put a tray of them next to the diamonds.
Some come with paper
Some don’t. If it’s a big stone, or the report matters to you, say so and we’ll have it graded by an outside lab. A lot of what we sell has never been near one — that’s what buying from a wholesaler looks like. You’re paying for the stone, not for the report that came with it.
How long it takes
Most of the time the stone is already in the building and it’s set within about a week. Drawn from scratch takes longer — under a month is normal, two at the outside, and usually the stone is the reason. Tell us the date first and we’ll work backward from it.
A week on a custom ring isn’t speed.
It’s the stone already being in the building.
Come up and we’ll pull the trays.
An office building off Westheimer, where we’ve worked since 1964. If you’re not in Houston we’ll put a tray on a video call and you can pick from your kitchen. Either way — call before you come. We’re in and out.
